Blame Game
If the Blame Game was like a board game, what would it look like? Would it have a space for "Your Honest, advance to the nearest Love bank." "You blamed your spouse for 'everything' so go to the Emotional Jail, Do not pass go." Park Place is where you park your emotions because you are so mad that it's the other person's fault for everything? When working through conflicts playing the Blame Game simply keeps the conflict in a circular motion especially if both people are playing the blame game and nothing moves forward in the conflict. When we stop and acknowledge our own part in the conflict and stop just pointing the blame on others is when there is a rest in the game. There is now an opening for honesty, for conflict resolution and for peace. So, next time your stuck in conflict with another person, stop the blame game.
